Molteni&C Designer: Patricia Urquiola A range of tables with folded legs like a delicate origami. An element skillfully assembled by a light folded aluminum foil and an internal part composed by aluminum and polyurethane inserts to give stability. The square or rectangular tops are available in glass, the support structure is either shiny aluminum or glossy lacquered. Diamond won the Red dot design award Best of the best in 2005. Red Dot Design Best of the Best, 2005 / ADI Index, 2005
Molteni&C Designer: Jean Nouvel LessLess is a complete range of tables, rectangular and square, painted in different colors. An aluminum table the strength of which lies in a play on corners and folds. The external outline of the horizontal table top is very thin and stiffness and it is obtained by bending the aluminum sheet along inclined planes.
Molteni&C Designer: Rodolfo Dordoni Filigree is a range of fixed size and extension tables. Glossy and matt diecast aluminium frames underpin tops enhanced by a wide range of finishes. The technology used in the discreet Filigree main element allows an extendable table with an invisible lateral telescopic system. The entire top is without cuts, and extends to double its size.
Molteni&C Designer: Rodolfo Dordoni Belgravia, the aristocratic district of London with its impressive Victorian mansions, inspired this family of tables with their refined fluid shapes. A bridge-shaped wooden frame, with a double inclination outline and a sophisticated joinery technique, enables the legs and the load-bearing beam of the table to be joined.
Molteni&C Designer: Foster + Partners The table Arc embodies the innovative concepts which distinguish it. The base shape is inspired by the technostructures currently used in modern building: a new “light” cement which mixes colour and a special fibrous material obtaining resistant structures with a low specific weight. Printed in a single block and dyed.
Molteni&C Designer: Foster + Partners Foster + Partners and Molteni have had a long and fruitful relationship that began with the design of the Still sofa in 2006. The practice also designed a range of office furniture called ‘Elements’ for UniFor, Molteni’s sister company. Ava follows a natural progression from the earlier design of the UniFor Elements metal conference table to create a timber dining table.
Molteni&C Designer: Patricia Urquiola Asterias, a cactus that grows in the mountainous regions of Mexico, lends its name to this new design from Patricia Urquiola. A generously-sized round table, featuring a central base reminiscent of the cactus from which it takes its name. It consists of six curved, wedge-shaped, wooden panels, applied protruding over the central plinth.
